We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. I hate working with store bought patterns because I feel too constricted so I generally just make my own but I do waste quite a bit of fabric trying to get them right, heh. My advice is to use really cheap fabric until you can get it right, or you can use a pattern and try to make the changes you want to that
